Our lab is currently focused on studying how redox signaling, isoprenoid metabolism, and hemodynamic forces regulates cardiovascular homeostasis in development and disease. To accomplish this goal our lab is taking advantage of innovative genetic and imaging technologies as well as new molecular and biochemical approaches in vertebrate models, such as zebrafish and mouse. Our’s goal is to expand the current vision of cardiovascular biology by identifying unforeseen metabolic, non coding RNA and signaling mechanisms and used them to develop therapies to treat cardiac failure conditions.
