The 53rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, on May 22-24, 2019.

The Meeting aims to bridge fundamental research with clinical investigation and technology transfer. It will also incorporate the spirit of the ESCI and blend it with the cultural, educational, clinical and technological environment of the city, presenting symposia with actual and relevant topics, which will foster networking and present to the delegates with the new developments in the respective fields.

Among the symposia, “Gene and Cell Therapy: from Fundamental Science to the Clinic” is organized by Lino Ferreira (Coimbra, Portugal), Albert Rizvanov (Kazan, Russia), and Constanza Emanueli (London, UK).
